Teleconsultation – Teleconsultation… After the enthusiasm, what assessment, what effective use?
On June 25, 2015, the CercleLAB organized a morning discussion entitled “Teleconsultation or Medical Teleconsultation, what offers and opportunities today? “
3 years later, 2018 promises to be decisive:
- 4 out of 10 French people say they are in favor of this innovative method of consultation due to the speed and flexibility of the practice
- Health insurance now reimburses teleconsultations even if this support is limited, for the time being, to residents of retirement homes.
- A gradual implementation: the Health Insurance plans to limit this practice to people suffering from chronic diseases and populations of medical deserts, as a first step.
- To date, Health Insurance does not yet support teleconsultations carried out on private platforms.
Teleconsultation offers are multiplying and most insurers have resolutely taken the path of including this service in their offer, we will draw up a first assessment:
- What to think of the heterogeneity of promises and achievements?
- What reality of use, of utility?
- How to assess the quality of service provided to patients?
- What economic model for the financing of teleconsultation by private actors today, by public authorities tomorrow?
4 players from all stakeholders will participate in the debate: Insurers, assistants, historical players in tele-advice, startups.
In particular :
– Séverine GREGOIRE, CEO MY DOCTORS
– Anne-Claire HAY, Health and Personal Services Market Manager, MONDIAL ASSISTANCE
