he subject of the Internet of Things makes people talk and questions. Expected for several years, it is slow to really emerge. Is this now a reality? What does he really represent? What can we expect from it? Many industrial and institutional players have already looked into these new technologies by launching numerous experiments. Unfortunately, few projects are now sustainable.

It must be said that this is a complex field, bringing together a large number of players of various sizes and ultimately covering a large number of different technologies. Long or short range connection, very low or wide bandwidth, with or without subscription, the combinations can be numerous and it is not easy to navigate.

PMP and LD Expertise supported Caisse des Dépôts in drafting a white paper on the subject of IoT in low density areas. Allowing to provide a didactic inventory of IoT use cases and technologies, it also makes it possible to raise awareness of the questions posed by IoT today and to provide public and private actors with elements to integrate into their reflection around their IoT project.
