(March 3rd, 2025 – Paris, France) Each year in France, PMP Strategy and all other companies report to the French government on their parity statistics. This year, we reached the score of 84. Of particular note, we obtained the maximum score in two important areas :
- Parity across individual raises for both women and men (20/20);
- All female employees were given employees upon return from maternity leave (15/15);
In addition, PMP Strategy has put in place daily measures to increase gender parity as much as possible, while always maintaining excellence as our primary criteria for employment. “We continue to favor the recruitment of women and pay attention to ensure that men and women’s career evolution and remuneration is equitable, to ensure parity at the highest levels in the company” explains Laura Leal, Director of Human Resources.
This work is paying off, and we are seeing some encouraging results from these efforts.:
- This year, 63% of our interns are women.
- Founding Partner Chrystelle Briantais started a Diversity Council, composed of consultants at all levels (male and female) to develop an action plan to improve parity at PMP Strategy.
- Members of the Comité enterprise were trained on how to prevent sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace.
- In Q2 we will implement Whistleblower, a new tool so that employees can report sexual harassment or discrimination shortly.
At PMP Strategy when we hire for an open role, we look for the person that is best qualified for that role in terms of their education and experience. What is critical for us is to find the person that will do the best job for our clients, and who will thrive and grow in our practice.
Most of the work we do for our clients is work in industrial fields (telecoms, industry, engineering and finance) where women are already under-represented (24% on average). We are proud to encourage women in these very interesting domains because we see the strong impact our female consultants have, and the value of having balanced teams.
Though the talent pool remains a challenge, in some cases, we see that the number of female engineering students is beginning to increase (ex: Télécom Paris 22%, Polytechnique Paris 16%…). This is very encouraging and we support various initiatives that have been taken in the university community.
The PMP Diversity Council and the Partners are committed to striving for parity, while maintaining excellence as the key criteria for recruitment. And of course, to ensuring that women and men are treated equally on all fronts in the practice.
